Power Core 360 Hitting Technique
The PC 360 harness system teaches attackers to use their entire core to generate arm speed. Young players today are learning the over-head throwing motion in mid-air. That's not only a health risk, but very difficult to teach in traditional ways, such as hitting off boxes.
At Florida, the only time we got in trouble with the harness is when we stopped using it. In the spring of 2009, we hit every day using the harness and had no injuries.
In the fall of 2009 we stopped using it and began developing some shoulder problems. From 2006-2009, 70% of our incoming freshmen had some sort of shoulder overuse problem. Kids are playing a lot more than they used to which means too many swings not using their core. Finally there is a way to teach a faster arm, but safely."
